Northern Ireland water treatment works, Seagahan Dam, Clay Lake and Carran Hill

Project Overview

BSH were asked to review the heating in three NI water treatment works, Seagahan Dam, Clay Lake and Carran Hill. Two Seagahan and Clay Lake located in Keady and Carren Hill at Crossmaglen N Ireland. Each of the three sites had critical water treatment processes which could not be subject to severe weather.
Objectives

BSH were tasked with protection down to -18c for those critical areas. Partnering with Powrmatic Ltd having had a continuous relationship with them over the last 30 years we had no hesitation in bringing the solution forward.

Results

The results were four critical heating locations identified in Clay Lake, three locations in Seagahan Dam and Two locations in Carren Hill. LPG was the chosen fuel source and Powrmatic NVx high efficiency indirect gas fired heaters the solution.
