BSH wins FM Project of the Year

The British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) Ireland Region announce the winners of their 2014 Recognition Awards, supported by VickerStock Engineering Recruitment, in front of over two hundred and fifty Facilities Management professionals at the recent BIFM Ireland Region Conference.

These prestigious awards, now in their fourth year, are designed to celebrate excellence and recognise outstanding achievements and projects; and those teams and individuals who have made a significant contribution to the development of the FM industry in Ireland.

With a record number of entries across all categories, the panel of independent judges including industry and academic experts from across the UK and Ireland including Gareth Tancred, CEO BIFM, Professor George Heaney, Professor of Built Environment at University of Ulster Jordanstown, Rebekah Lyons, CEO Portobello Institute and Liz Kentish, The FM Coach, who were overwhelmed by the high calibre of entrants received - with high commendations to all. Overall the panel felt encouraged by the calibre and professionalism of individuals who are thriving in and promoting the FM sector.

BS Holdings’ Going Green project at Charles Hurstreceived recognition for FM Project of the Year. The judges were impressed with the innovation behind the project and said, “This was an innovative project producing sustainability that is scalable.  The project used renewable technologies and building services equipment that generated significant energy savings and introduced the use of carbon neutral fuel for heating and cooling.”
